EAP, Inc. DBA Employee Assistance Program is a licensed California corporation, incorporated since1994. Formerly EAP was part of an umbrella organization known as Prevention Education Program. (PEP). The current Director of EAP, Inc. was a Co-Director of Prevention Education Program for ten years. Under the direction of the current EAP director, Kay Stevens, the program functioned as a Drinking Driver Program, Traffic Violator School and PC 1000 provider.
The philosophy of EAP is uncomplicated and easily communicated to all staff. EAP, INC. Believes in treating the whole person by addressing the core issues identified for the client in their individualized plan of treatment. We work with the person to help them gain skills necessary to manage a responsible and productive life and refrain from illegal behavior. We assist the client in building a base of sobriety, self-reliance, self-confidence, and healthy lifestyle and in becoming an effective participant of the community. Acknowledging that some clients are impaired to a greater degree than others and pose a greater threat to others, thereby, needing more professional assistance.
EAP, INC. Believes in the dignity and worth of all people. EAP INC. Believes also that we have the right and the duty to protect the citizens of our communities, encourage obedience of our laws, and help make our communities safe and healthy. EAP has operated an outpatient drug free program for eleven years and previously worked with Medical D/A Department and Social Security SSI Program. EAP is currently an EIN Vocational Rehabilitation private provider under SSI with the Maximus Program. EAP is also a provider for drug and alcohol assessments for the California Board of Nursing, California Dental Board and California Board of Pharmacology. EAP is familiar with the delivery of services to individuals with drug and alcohol and other addiction issues, mental health issues and sexual abuse issues. EAP has a staff that is licensed, certified, and experienced in providing quality services addressing mental health, substance abuse, sexual abuse problems, child care, referral services, and adheres to the ethics and guidelines of the association of therapists and mental health professionals.
